Dulcie and Edna is a casual cafe nestled at the corner of Amaroo Drive in Banora Point, offering an inviting spot for locals to savor well-crafted coffee and a diverse all-day breakfast menu. The cafe draws a steady crowd throughout the morning and lunchtime hours, particularly appealing to people looking for a relaxed atmosphere to catch up with friends or settle in with a book.

The coffee here consistently earns praise—from rich espressos to velvety lattes, it’s the kind of place where coffee lovers feel right at home. The friendly team, especially familiar faces like Tiarna, create a welcoming vibe that encourages repeat visits. For those who prioritize a good brew alongside a quiet pause in the day, Dulcie and Edna usually delivers, though it can get livelier with upbeat music and the natural buzz of kitchen activity during busier periods.

The menu caters to a broad range of tastes, from the classic Big Brekkie Plate to more niche options like Spanish-style chorizo omelette or chilli jam scrambled eggs. There’s thoughtful consideration for dietary needs too, with gluten-free options handled attentively, which is a relief for those who have had trouble finding accommodating spots nearby.

Outdoor seating is available, though limited and often occupied, making mid-morning or early afternoon good times for those who prefer a quieter table outside. Inside, the atmosphere blends a modest, comfortable design with the honest sounds of a working cafe, which for some adds character, even if it can make conversation a little challenging when the space is full.

Dulcie and Edna fits naturally into this suburban pocket, a reliable place to start the day or enjoy a midday bite without pretense. It’s easy to imagine locals dropping by before work, parents in search of friendly spots for kids with options from avocado on sourdough to toasties, and anyone after a solid breakfast in a place that feels part of the community rather than a commercial stop.

I’m LUVING this gem of a place .. Amazing breakfast and lunch . My elderly friend lives around the corner and is gluten free so is quite specific as she has been sick at a couple of other places declaring they’re gluten free. They couldn’t be more patient (sorrrry) and accomodating .. We went back today and was sad they changed their menu…. Until we got our food . Bloody amazing! I had a chicken Japanese rice dish or similar BUT on the way out I saw freshly made Biscoff cheesecake so this little piggy bought one and can honestly say it was one of theeeeee most delicious things I’ve EVERRRR eaten .. 20/10

Five stars for the smooth coffee and friendly service. Food looked tasty though didn't try. Handy location at corner next to shops. One star only for the uptempo jarring music on top of the inevitable kitchen clanking and poor acoustics from the hard surfaces. Could barely think let alone hold a conversation. Unfortunately the two outdoor tables were occupied. A slower, quieter, more chilled playlist might be better for customers of all ages, but particularly for older patrons who might be trying to eat and sip slowly and enjoy a relaxed outing. Other than the noise, can see why this place is so popular and highly rated.

Best coffee in town hands down! Matt and the team are always super friendly. Shout out to Tiarna who is always smiling and provides exceptional customer service. Would strongly recommend to anyone looking for a 10/10 breakfast or lunch!

I go to Dulcie and Edna's regularly, have included pics of a couple of the times I've been - the nourish bowl with poached egg and the acai bowl. I've consistently had good food there and the people are friendly. Nice comfortable atmosphere, I usually bring my book

My Pilates group started to meet here after our sessions a short while ago. It is a great place to sit, chat, drink our coffees, and enjoy the atmosphere. Sometimes I have a piece of their great cakes — can't help myself. The staff are very friendly and fully focussed on their customers. And...my skinny latte comes with the art work I really love and look forward to!

Lovely bright cafe with indoor or outdoor seating. Freshly baked sweets and a great menu with lots to choose from.
